At FORCE BLUE we are constantly searching for new ways to achieve our vision, tackle the challenges confronting our coral reefs, to combat the struggles so many of our veterans face when their service ends. In partnership with the NFL, the Miami Super Bowl Host Committee, the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, the University of Miami and the state of Florida, FORCE BLUE’s next mission will be to kick off a reef restoration project in South Florida. The Florida coral reef tract, the nation’s only barrier reef, has been under attack from severe weather, coral bleaching and now a deadly tissue loss disease. Like any significant military operation, FORCE BLUE is bringing in a special operations team to fight back on behalf of our environment. In honor of the NFL’s 100th season and as part of the Super Bowl 54 Host Committee’s Ocean to Everglades program, FORCE BLUE and its partners will be planting 100 corals to serve as a reminder that through caring, community and cooperation, we can win this battle, not just for Miami, but for the entire planet. Please join us on this journey.

305, the Magic City, yeah, she’s pretty. But it’s not about the lights, camera, action, cars and views. It’s about the spirit and pride of the people that remain true. Miami puts culture and cultura. It’s a powerful mix with the right energy, the right vibe. All types of people, it’s a melting pot, all one tribe. We don’t need to look around, we always got the right sound. From bachata to merengue, salsa to bass music. Hip hop to EDM, we let the whole world ding. We’re home grown and home team, the bottom where dynasties have been built. We don’t sleep, we live dreams. From South Beach to over the bridge. From Little Havana, Overtown, Little Haiti, Wynwood, Allapattah, Liberty City, Carol City, Opa-Locka, it’s all good. From down south Homestead, Goulds, P-rem, South Miami, Saguesera, we all cool. At the bottom of the map but we’re always on top, hosting Super Bowl LIV makin’ history. 11 Super Bowls we produce the most NFL players and that’s no mystery. Yeah, we have glamour, yeah, we have glitz, but it’s the triumph, sacrifice and pain that makes Miami and the people and the city off the chain. 305, we bleed it and we live it. ¡Dale!
Miami SB LIV Business Connect Video Transcription
So, you ask, what is Business Connect? We work with Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach County certified agencies and local, diverse chambers of commerce to identify local, diverse businesses that can qualify for contract opportunities when Super Bowl LIV comes to Miami in 2020. I thank you all for being here and I welcome you to the Super Bowl LIV Business Connect program launch. Give yourselves a round of applause for being here. I’ve gone from just selling t-shirts to people who knew me for just selling t-shirts to being a master concessionaire and caterer. So, I will ask you one more time, are you all ready to do business with the NFL? Alright, cool. We want to do direct business with you guys.

Miami is party town USA, and everywhere you look, it goes on day and night. It’s a region whose entire face has changed since the last time a Super Bowl came to South Florida. Miami’s downtown, for example, has made one of the more dynamic transformations of any urban area in the entire country. Bring your mega yacht, there’s one of the most modern mega yacht marinas in the world right here. Believe me, two hundred footers are woah! A new Brightline train will speed up and down the coast, making it a snap to get to Orlando through Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and the Palm Beaches. New hotels between downtown and Miami beach are opening monthly, and even more are coming online over the next three years. And Fort Lauderdale, too, has new hotels up and down its famous beach. Miami’s art district near downtown has become a centerpiece for the new, urban creating class that has moved in, in a big way. Art all over, in restaurants, in clubs, and a look that is so Miami. And South Beach, well, will always be South Beach. We’ve got one of the nation’s busiest airports, recently expanded and improved, with a true inter-mobile center connecting everything. We’ve also got the world’s first and second largest cruise ports, two amazing downtown parks, Bayfront Park and Museum Park, right in the middle of everything! On the water, visually exciting and totally accessible, perhaps the ideal place in the nation for a huge celebration, like the Super Bowl. A canvas where we have created the ultimate Super Bowl experience. Super Bowl park, the perfect place to focus the eyes on the biggest sporting event of the year. Downtown Miami becomes a stage set. The perfect place to project giant screens on towering buildings to tell amazing football stories. To use fantastic aerial views to show one of the most dynamic downtowns anywhere to show the world what’s going on. Biscayne Boulevard, downtown’s main thoroughfare, will be converted into one long, interactive football field, flanked by huge hot air balloons shaped like goal posts. On the field, it will be surrounded by the logos of the teams that have played the game over the last 100 years. And visitors get a bird’s eye view of the Super Bowl park, as they rise above the crowd. How about a zipline experience, the hail mary? That’ll carry fans the length of the football field, from one goal post to the other. At night, Miami’s downtown looks truly magnificent on its own, but when Super Bowl Park moves in, it will be unforgettable. From the lit-up goalpost hot air balloon showing the 100th anniversary logo to oversized sculptured footballs lit up along the field, each one a multimedia salute to a decade in NFL history. To a range of high-tech media displays, Super Bowl Park and Biscayne Boulevard will own the night. Nighttime projections of fan photos captured on social media, shot on green screen during each day, will be showcased on the buildings. “Look Mom, I’m 12 stories high!” It’s a living fan mural bigger than life. Miami’s skyline is the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable fireworks and pyro display. And what’s a super bowl without retail? The NFL boardwalk retail row will feature amazing, interactive sponsored retail outlets. Visit the NFL Hall of Fame. And right in Bayfront Park there’s the huddle down community stage, perfect to showcase local talent. Cheerleaders from the NFL work with high school squads to honor the NFL’s centennial. Since South Florida is all about the water, there will be VIP floating chalets along Biscayne Bay, who else could do this in February? And within footsteps of all the excitement is the NFL Super Stage with music, comedy and performances in the middle of all the excitement and lighting effects. We take care of VIPs at the top of the amphitheater with a multi-level VIP reserved platform, offering food and beverages to very important guests. The Super Bowl celebration is centered around technology, and the Verizon virtual village hosts interactive activities for the fans. They will find augmented reality experiences in 3D, where fans and sponsors can share messages and images brought to life virtually. They can participate in the 100th anniversary centennial challenge. Then there’s tailgate town, the ultimate tailgate party and the best tailgater contest. A lucky winner will be drawn randomly and will win the ultimate tailgate party right here, at Tailgate Town. On the stage there will be celebrity pairings, NFL alums showing off their culinary skills. While there they can enjoy a pigskin brew at the Pigskin Pub by day or at night it transforms to the Budweiser Touchdown Club, where fans can dance the night away. Miami is all about the future and is ready to make sure that a Super Bowl here is the best ever.
The Design Group
Hi my name is Dionne Anderson and I am the proud owner of The Design Group, a full service custom decor and floral artistry company. Bienvenidos a Hialeah. We are so excited about being a vendor for the 2020 Business Connect Program and we look forward to potential contracts and thanks to the 2010 emerging business program I was able to actually work with larger marketing agencies and we landed one of the PGA of Americas tours. So i think that 2010 point, that was our transitional point. We went from the decor and the planning side to full blown production. That's what we’ve been doing. We actually have reloaded to Hialeah so that we can partner up with other smaller business in the area and kind of pull together all of those strengths so that we’re actually ready for Super Bowl 2020 this year.
Veterans 4 You
My name is Timothy Farrell and my company is Veterans 4 You in Fort Lauderdale. I’m a Vietnam veteran. And we are veteran owned business working in the federal market place. We do a lot of marketing and branding for all branches of the military and we’re also because the Super Bowl has come to Miami, we said gee we should be looking at the private sector also. With the Super Bowl coming to Miami now we can build community with other businesses that work in similar areas. We have about 5 people on staff right now but we have tremendous possibilities for growing because we’re bringing people on in the digital marketing social media end of the business. If we get some really big contracts, which we’re capable of, it could really explode. One thing I like is they have the events where I’m actually able to meet other businesses in the community and so the Super Bowl has really given us that opportunity.
Event Party Productions / Jessica Lamb Enterprise
I’m Jessica Lam and I’m with Event Party Productions. Also known as Jessica Lamb Enterprise. But I have had different incarnations of my business. I’ve really been doing this since the late 80s when I was performing in a rock band playing keyboard. Cool thing about me? Umm well I was born a boy. So, I’m transgender. I’m also a lesbian woman. And I have been a part of this community for many many years. I didn’t know you could get certified as a lesbian or transgender organization. Like how do you verify that I’m lesbian or transgender but it’s interesting though because there was a vetting process about all of that. So it was more than just. So it was you know it was a little bit of an investigation into that I am who I say that I am and I do what I do. One of the best things about the Super Bowl that I love is how it brings communities together, how it brings families together. And me to be a part of that in a grander scale, I mean, that's pretty amazing.
Chicks N’ Wings
My name is Angela Roberts Oliver, I’m the owner of Chicks N’ Wings. I’ve been here since 2005, November. The Super Bowl is an experience that one can never forget. It was an amazing amazing event to the point where I felt that being a part of Super Bowl made me a part of history. Because there are not a lot of businesses, African American female owned businesses that can say they have had that opportunity to say that they have actually been a part of the Super Bowl. Our clientele definitely grew, we actually started working with politicians. The hopes that I have for 2020 is to not to only learn more and meet new people but also grow. And through 2020 I’m hoping that that experience will be able to elevate us and take us far and beyond.
Well I think one of the things that’s drawn all the people that are interested in being vendors for the Super Bowl that's brought us all together for these different social events so that can meet each other.
For the Super Bowl to be inclusive of this community because let me tell you the transgender individual usually gets the short end of the stick. And me to be a part of that in a grander scale I mean that's pretty amazing.
I can't think of any other venue other than the Super Bowl Business Connect that would give us the opportunity that we’re getting in this community.
The hopes that I have for 2020 is to not to only learn more and meet new people but also grow.
Because we’re a little unique, in that, we’re culturally diverse, we’re authentically creative, so when we actually put together an event we think about that space. So this is South Florida. So when you think about South Florida you have to encompass all that diversity. So I would love to be able to bring that personality of South Florida to life.
